The sundays are an alternative rock band from Bristol, England. The band consists of four members, Harriet Wheeler, lead vocalist, guitarist David Gavurin, basist Paul Brindly, and drummer Patrick Hannan. Lindsay Jamieson was the percussionist from 1990-1992, and is featured on their first two albums. The band was formed when Wheeler and Gavurin, who were dating at the time, decided to start a band. They had very little musical expericane, but still made three albums taht were all massive sucesses. They started to produce with Rough Trade Records until they decided to produce their own music by 1992.
The band chose the name "The Sundays" because it was the only one they all could agree on. They then sent out many tapes to differant clubs in London in hopes of being able to play there. Lckily, the Vertigo Club offered them a slot in their show in August 1988. At this club, there were three reviers from music papers there, who have the sundays so much praise. From the recognition they got from this gig, they signed with Rough Trade Records. Their first release was "Can't be Sure" in January 1989.

Harriet Wheeler: She is the lead singer of the band, and was born in Reading, England. She attended Bristol university and studied english literature. Her parents were architect and a teacher. She did vocals for the band Jim Jiminee.
Gavurin: He is the guitarest and is from Wembley. he also attended Bristol University and got a degree in Romance Languages.
Paul Brindley: The basist and joined after Wheeler and Gavurin moved to London. He also attened Bristol.
Patrick hannan: He is the drummer, and also attended britol university. His brother was a member of Jim Jimenee. Band Name
